Utah: Cascade Springs

Cascade Springs and the area surrounding it is beautiful. The night before we went to visit, we drove up the Alpine Loop from Provo in search of a spot to camp out in. Once we entered, the campgrounds we visited were already full, so in what felt like a very adventurous undertaking for me, found a free campsite that had no facilities, just off the route to Cascade Springs (this person inspired us). When I say “campsite” it was really just finding a spot we could park our cars for the night and build a fire. There were some other people nearby and luckily our spot had a place for a quick fire – I felt like a rogue wanderer. Pretty exciting. And it completely worked out.

Noelle, Kelly, Matt and I were able to wake up early to drive to Cascade Springs and watch the sun rise out over this incredible view.

And then we made it to the springs not much farther down the road!

Because we went in October, I feel like the springs were not at their optimal gush of water, but even so, the place was beautiful to walk around in – there’s a couple different paths to take and all well-laid out trails that don’t take too long, but enough options to experience different aspects of the springs and surrounding area.

I loved all the colors and flowers, moss, changing leaves and the springs themselves. This is definitely a spot I’ll be revisiting in the spring.
