Utah: Bridal Veil Falls

image.jpg

This might be the easiest waterfall I've ever had the privilege to view. You park, walk a little bit, and you're right in front of it. Voila.

Bridal Veil Falls, although easy to get to, sits in a park that's filled with things that can entertain for a long while. Watching the magnificent stream of water rushing down above us reminded me of — what I'm guessing is where the name comes from  an elegant bridal veil. Aside from being able to hike up to it, you can also just come prepared with a picnic or hang out in the shallow pool of water. If you look closely, you can also see remnants of the aerial tram that used to take people up to a lodge and restaurant at the top of the cliff (until it was destroyed by an avalanche... and then a fire... so that's most likely not coming back for a long while).

One day, I'll try to climb to the top. Until then, I've got these memories of a beautiful day in Utah with my best friend and her little family.
