Utah: Bonneville Salt Flats

image.jpg

The Bonneville Salt Flats. This place is where the real racers come.

Or so I've been told. And this sign (the one pictured above) kind of says it.

You don't have to be interested in cars either. Although, from my now recent understanding of the Bonneville Speedway and all the land records set here, and also because this is one of Matt's passions, I foresee that I will (willingly) be a consistent presence at Speed Week for many years to come when able.

Bonneville Salt Flats is DEFINITELY worth the stop. It's like being on another planet. And it's so beautiful. When I was there, a little water still covered part of the salty surface and reflected the mountains in the distance. It's one of those places that seem to go on for miles and feels like magic.
